SPZL Handball Cup

Originally designed as part of the ‘specialist’ sports, or Spezial, collections of the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, the Handball Cup SPZL draws from the infamous Handball Spezial – a shoe that played a role in the naming of adidas SPZL. To create a new design that feels archival, the proportions of the upper have been altered with a shortened toebox and T-toe, plus the addition of a ‘swooping’ overlay that bulks up the heel. Sticking to the original colourway, ‘Semi Lucid Blue’ is met with white detailing, including a white textured tongue and leather 3-Stripes, while a light gum rubber sole unit draws a line under the design. | JS3062
